
Bel Monte Endurance Races Crew Directions
Start, Royal Oaks Cabins, to White Rock Gap, Aid Station #1
NOTE: If the Blue Ridge Parkway is closed because of snow or ice, aid station #1 will not be reachable by the crews.
Exit Royal Oaks Cabins and take a right onto Love Road, or route 814.
At the intersection with the Blue Ridge Parkway, make a right onto the Blue Ridge Parkway heading south.
Dive on the Blue Ridge Parkway to milepost 18.5. You will see the aid station on your right. Park in the gravel area, DO NOT park on the Blue Ridge Parkway. If you you have to park on the Blue Ridge Parkway, make sure all four wheels are off the pavement.
White Rock Gap, Aid Station #1, to Turkey Pen/Coal Road Crew Access point
Retrace your steps heading north on the Blue Ridge Parkway to Love Gap and Route 814. Love Gap is at milepost 16 on the Blue Ridge Parkway
Take a left onto Route 814/Love Road at Love Gap.
Drive down the mountain on route 814. Route 814 will turn into State Route 664. At the intersection with RT 814 and RT 664, stay straight onto route 664.
You will pass the entrance to Sherando Lake. Continue on RT 664 for another 5 miles.
You will see a general store/gas station on your left. Often, they advertise the sale of either guns or shrimps. Right after the general store, you will see Coal Road on your left.
Make a left onto Coal Road, a gravel road. You will see a sign for "Big Levels".
Note: if you reach the town of Sherando, you have gone too far.
Stay on Coal Road for about 1.5 miles. You will see a parking area and gate on your left. This is the Turkey Pen/Coal Road Crew Access point.
You cannot drive beyond this point. Nevertheless, you are welcome to either wait for your runner here, or walk to the aid station. The Turkey Pen aid station is about 1.5 miles from the gate.
Turkey Pen/Coal Road Crew Access point to Kennedy Ridge, Aid Station #5
Continue driving on Coal Road (gravel) heading south (away from RT 664).
After about 5 miles, you will see the Kennedy Ridge aid station on your left. There is a small parking area on your right.
Kennedy Ridge, Aid Station #5, to Stony Run Trail, Aid Station #6
Continue driving on Coal Road heading south (away from RT 664).
PLEASE DRIVE CAREFULLY, as you are now on the race course.
You will see the Stony Run Trail aid station on your left. Parking will be on your right.
Stony Run Trail, Aid Station #6, to White Rock Gap, Aid Station #8
Drive northbound on Coal Road all the way back to RT 664.
Make a right onto RT 664. You will pass the entrance to Sherando Lake
Continue on RT 664 to the intersection with RT 814, Love Road.
Continue straight onto RT 814, Love Road.
At the intersection with the Blue Ridge Parkway, make a right onto the Blue Ridge Parkway heading south.

White Rock Gap, Aid Station #8, to Reeds Gap, Aid Station #9
Option #1:
Stay on the Blue Ridge Parkway heading north.
After about 3.5 miles, you will reach Reeds Gap, at the intersection of the Blue Ridge Parkway with RT 664. The aid station will be on your right.
Option #2
If the Blue Ridge Parkway is closed, you will have to drive from Stony Aid Station directly to Reeds Gap, since White Rock Gap will not be accessible.
Once you get to the intersection of RT 664 and RT 814, make a left onto RT 664 to the Blue Ridge Parkway.
Climb all the way to the Blue Ridge Parkway. The aid station will be on your right.
Reeds Gap, Aid Station #9, to Wintergreen Resort, Finish
from the Blue Ridge Parkway, make a right onto RT 664 at the aid station.
PLEASE DRIVE CAREFULLY, since you are now on the race course.
After about one mile on RT 664, you will see the entrance to Wintergreen Resort.
Make a left onto Wintergreen Resort.
Drive all the way up the mountain.
PLEASE DRIVE CAREFULLY, since you are now on the race course.
At the top of the mountain, right before the Mountain Inn, make a right toward Discovery Ridge and the finish line.
